The #Cambiandoelfútbol project, an initiative by the Iker Casillas Foundation, was born with a clear purpose: to harness the power of football to create a positive social impact.
Since its inception in 2020, #Cambiandoelfútbol has united clubs, fans, and organizations around charitable causes. Through collaborations in campaigns such as “No Child Without a Toy,” “The Food Bank’s Great Collection,” and the Special Olympics Unified League, the project has demonstrated that football can go beyond the pitch to become a universal language of empathy and support for the most vulnerable communities.
THE IKER CASILLAS CAMPUS: A SPACE FOR VALUES
One of the project’s most special initiatives is the Iker Casillas Campus, where every year, during the summer camps, workshops and activities are held with children to promote the values that reflect the foundation’s commitment. This educational space becomes a meeting point for coexistence and learning, instilling in future generations the importance of solidarity, teamwork, and social responsibility.
COLLABORATION WITH CLUBS AND CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS
The project also invites other clubs and sports organizations from first and second divisions to join the initiative, creating a support network that strengthens and amplifies the message of #Cambiandoelfútbol. CF Pozuelo, a leading club highly committed to charitable actions alongside organizations such as the Red Cross, Caritas, and Special Olympics, spearheads this collaboration with the goal of sharing these stories and reaching an even broader audience.
