Success in the Iker Casillas Multisport Camps

THE FOUNDATION

Since 2011, the Iker Casillas Foundation has worked to improve the well-being of children in need, using sports as a tool to promote their holistic development, health, and inclusion.

“Our purpose: children; our tool: sports.”

OUR CAMPS

The Summer Football and Multisport Camps are among the foundation’s most emblematic initiatives and have been continuously held since 2011. Our journey began with technical sports camps for goalkeepers and players in collaboration with Real Madrid in countries such as Mexico, Chile, China, and Spain, later expanding to Venezuela and the United States. Currently, the technical sports training is conducted through the Iker Casillas Academy.

Since 2016, the foundation has been managing its own camps in various municipalities and locations, such as Huelva, Porto, Móstoles, and Ávila, reaching rural areas of this province. By 2024, the camps have extended to Málaga, Cádiz, and Ávila, further expanding their impact across communities in Spain.

In addition to technical and tactical training, the Iker Casillas Foundation’s camps combine these aspects with teaching sportsmanship and offering socio-educational workshops to develop skills both on and off the field.

From the beginning, we have placed special emphasis on unifying all athletes, regardless of race, gender, or abilities. By fostering an inclusive environment, the programs feature coordinators with diverse abilities, providing participants with a tangible example that sports can and should be accessible to all.

The Iker Casillas Foundation’s camps are supported by brands like adidas, public and private institutions for scholarships and resources, local clubs for sports management, and the participation of prominent figures such as Iker Casillas, David Barral, Alberto Arnalot, and Álvaro López.

In our latest edition, we had the honor of hosting José de Luna, the star of the film Champions, who closed the camp with a motivational monologue adapted from his show Two Capable, sharing his personal journey and message of perseverance.

Progression and Future

Looking ahead, the Iker Casillas Foundation plans to expand the Summer Camp network to more communities in Spain and other countries, strengthening its commitment to inclusion and education through sports.

The goal is not only to increase the number of participants but also to enrich the experience with innovative programs and strategic partnerships, bringing the values of sports to more youth and communities.
